A Few Standard Process
of Some of Our Service Offerings
|
EMC ControlCenter Planning Design and Implementation:
Review number of managed objects, review network
configuration of infrastructure, identify minimum hardware platform to support ECC installation,
identify ECC Agents, servers and number of agents needed to be installed to support infrastructure, verify OS patches required
for supportability, install EMC ControlCenter software on designated servers.
Staff Augmentation - Storage Administration
Resident Storage Architect – Engineer – Administrator to perform staff augmentation for identified
projects or the day to day administration, responsibilities may include but are not limited to: provisioning storage, administering
EMC ControlCenter, installing ECC agents, monitoring alerts, setting thresholds, troubleshoot performance related issues with
EMC Performance Manager, Performance View, preparing Storage utilization reports with StorageScope, installing PowerPath setting
up device groups for TimeFinder and SRDF.
SAN Architecting
and Implementation
Designing a solution for supportability,
reliability, and throughput by reviewing OS patch version levels, driver, firmware and microcode versions for compatibility,
switch settings, fabric settings, server HBA and Symmetrix FA fan-in, fan-out ratios, number of devices per FA and identifying application
performance storage requirements, all documented in the SAN Infrastructure Guide containing a server matrix,
Visio diagrams, port layout, zoning information, and device mapping spreadsheets.
Data Center Consolidation
Server Consolidation, Storage Consolidation, Data Migrations using EMC SRDF or host level migration utilities.
Performance Monitoring
Isolate and identify perceived performance related issues by analyzing the output of various host utilities i.e.
sar, iostat, diskstst, netstat, vmstat, iptrace or reviewing performance stistics via symstat and graphs generated
by EMC PerformanceView/ PerformanceManager software. FileNet and EMC Integration
Architecting and implementing a solution for scalability and performance, sizing and configuring EMCs DMX storage
for FileNets process driven distributed services Imaging/WorkFlo application.
Remote Support
administration, data collection for architecting and troubleshooting
provided through any combination of utilities e.g. Nortel or Cisco VPN dialers, web portals, Citrix Winframe client or terminal
services.
